Southern Area Games - Event Details

Hey Wildcats and families!

We’re can't wait to see our athletes competing this Saturday at the Southern Area Games. Below is all the information needed for the games.

📅 Southern Area Games

• Date: 5/3/2025

• Day: Saturday

• Time:  8:45 AM – 3:00 PM

• Location: Bishop Hendricken High School [2615 Warwick Ave, Warwick, RI 02889]
  
  

🅿️ Parking Information

• There are two lots for parking, one off Warwick Ave and the second off of Oakland Beach Ave.

📢 Important to Remember

• Special Olympics RI is watching the weather and will make a decision about cancellation by Friday @ 3:30 PM. Once I know, YOU will know. Please DO not text or message any of the coaches or volunteers, they all have day jobs. ☔🌧️

• Lunch will be served at the event. 🌭🍔

• We are asking if we can use the pop-up tent like we did last year. Once, or if, we find out it will be communicated to everyone. If you don't hear anything, just look for the bright orange tent. 😀
• As always, please keep the field clean of all trash. If you bring something with you, make sure it leaves with you.🚯

📆 Event Schedule

• Clerking for running/walking events takes precedent over throwing events whenever there is a conflict. The coaches and Volunteers will make adjustments as needed. 🏃
• All coaches and volunteers are asked to be onsite by 8:30 AM to assist in tent set up.
• All athletes should be onsite no later than 9 AM.

• Bring water! 💧

• Dress for the weather.

• Sneakers are required — no cleats, boots, sandals, or flip flops!

• Let your coach know if you’re going to be late or absent.
